I. GENERAL DISPOSITIONS

1. /1/ The Fund for studies, preservation and promotion of the cultural and historic heritage is created in September 2004 by the national organizations and institutions-founders, as follows:

а/ „National UNESCO club for scientific expeditions” (NNEK-UNESCO) – http://www.nnek-unesco.org

b/ „National polytechnic museum” (NPM) - http://polytechnic.hit.bg

II. AIM AND SUBJECT

2. The non-profit activities of the Fund in long-term plan are aimed at:

/1/ Support for studies, preservation and promotion of the Bulgarian cultural and historic heritage (movable and non-movable);

/2/ Assistance to the intercultural exchange and interaction within the cultural diversity, as well as to the UNESCO objectives and ideals fulfillment and implementation of the programmes in the field of world cultural heritage.

3. The Fund will create database for the cultural and historic heritage, which will be stored and disseminated through the information and edition center of the founder NNEK-UNESCO and will be disposable for free in Internet for unlimited number of users via the contemporary communication technologies.

4. For achieving its goals, the Fund will support and will participate on a national and international basis in concrete working forms and activities related to the cultural and historic heritage such as:

/1/ Joint programmes and projects, scientific expeditions, conferences, symposia, schools, seminars, competitions, courses, specializations and working meetings;

/2/ Exchange: for consultations, lectures, reports, usage of museum collections, libraries, centers for science, culture and education;

/3/ Diffusion of information and expertise, organization of expositions, creation of databases, studies, access and exchange of achievements on the basis of mutual benefit.

III. ORGANS

5. The Fund organs are:

/1/ Board of Trustees;

/2/ Scientific council;

/3/ Secretariat.

6. /1/ The designated unanimously by the founders Board of Trustees is composed of:

Chairman:

Eduard Grozdanov Geshev – Chairman of the Board of Managers of NNEK-UNESCO;

Members:

Nikolay Gueorguiev Ivanov – Secretary General of NNEK-UNESCO;

Ekaterina Stoycheva Tzekova – Director of NPM.

/2/ The Secretariat of the founder NNEK-UNESCO will be the Secretariat of the Fund.

IV. ACCUMULATION AND GIVING REPORT OF THE SUMS

7. /1/ The Fund will assume property relations through contracts, signed by the name of the founder NNEK-UNESCO and for the account of the Fund. The accounting department of NNEK-UNESCO will create a special account of the Fund for studies, preservation and promotion of the cultural and historic heritage;

/2/ The Fund accounts will implement the double bookkeeping system and will follow the international accounting standards requirements;

/3/ The Board of Trustees will edit each year report of activities and report of the Fund expenditures;

/4/ The Fund doesn’t share out profits.

V. TAX ALLEVIATIONS

8. The donors for the Fund will use tax alleviations following the non-profit statute of the founder NNEK-UNESCO, as per Art. 35 (2) 14 of the Law for corporate income taxation and as per Art. 28 (1) 1.b of the Law for the personal income taxation.

VI. BANK ACCOUNT FOR ENDOWMENTS

9. For making endowments to the Fund, the following bank account shall be applied: number 1049423719 – Bulgarian levs, with Bulgarian Post Bank – Sofia, bank code 92079400, with account holder – NNEK-UNESCO, for special account of the Fund for studies, preservation and promotion of the cultural and historic heritage.
